Pen to body, Body to pen

This series was created in 2007 by Marguerite as an experiment between the worlds of photography and drawing. Marguerite uses some of her favourite characters from established comics and poems she wrote herself.

Taking close ups of body parts, some of her own, Marguerite sketch’s characters straight on top of the photograph creating a constructed world. The narrative alludes to the banality of the everyday, mirroring the quirky characters that Marguerite see’s day in and day out.
